Vinpac Lines (Canada) Inc. was founded in September
of 1990 with 2 staffs acting mainly as a
breakbulk agent for overseas forwarders.
Over the years, the company started
to establish itself to become a multi-transportation freight
forwarder in West Coast to
cope with the rapid
growth of the business developments
between Pacific Rim countries
and Canada. |

Canada and the gateway to interior and Eastern
cities and therefore, Vinpac Vancouver,
is playing a very important role as a hub
centre for import and export between Canada
and Asia. Geographic territory
of Vinpac Vancouver covers 4 Western Canadian
provinces namely British Columbia,
Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba and the allocation
of major cities is as follows: |

Saskatchewan - Saskatoon and Regina
Manitoba - Winnipeg
In June of 1992, Vinpac Canada opened a sales office in
Calgary, Alberta so as to
directly participate in the freight forwarding market
of the second largest provinces in Western
Canada and expand our sales activities
throughout the major cities in the interiors. |

Currently, Vinpac Vancouver
and Vinpac Calgary have more
than 20 staffs providing services on import/export
of ocean/air shipments, inter-moda l
railing/trucking service, project cargo
and local transportation services. In
addition, we have attractive contract
rates with premier carriers for both eastbound and westbound
shipments. We have weekly eastbound
LCL groupage service from Hong Kong/Taiwan/Singapore/Korea
whereas we have weekly westbound
LCL groupage service to Hong Kong/Singapore/Japan/Taiwan/Korea
and all Asian countries
via transhipment. Moreover, Vinpac Vancouver
offers attractive inland LCL rate
to Calgary/Edmonton/Regina/Saskatoon/Winnipeg
and provides local pick-up/delivery
services covering these areas. Furthermore,
Vinpac provides household moving delivery upon shipments'
arrival and arranges import customs clearance
for consig nees through Vinpac Vancouver's related customs
brokers. |
| In April 1, 1994, Vinpac
Vancouver moved into a new facility and the new location
provides more than 33,000 sq. ft. coverage
area including office space
& bonded warehouse. This new bonded
warehouse offers consolidation,
deconsolidation, warehousing
and distributing services. This
expansion has significantly upgraded Vinpac's status/reputation
in Canada and provided more comprehensive
services to increase our level of competitiveness
& market share. |
